Account & Registration Data

When you create a Nivily account, we collect basic identifying information such as your name and email address. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive the profile information shared by Google as part of the authentication process (name, email, and profile picture).

Usage Data

We collect anonymised, aggregated analytics about how users interact with the Services — such as which features are used most frequently. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to improve the product.

Device & Browser Information

We may collect technical information about your device and browser (e.g., browser type, operating system, screen resolution) for the purpose of ensuring compatibility and improving your experience.

Google Calendar Data

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Nivily will access your calendar solely to create and delete events that correspond to tasks you schedule within the app. We do not store, sell, or share any Google Calendar data beyond what is strictly required for this feature to function.

User-Generated Content

Tasks, notes, schedules, and other content you create within Nivily are stored securely on our infrastructure. This content belongs entirely to you and is never shared with third parties.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide the Services — Your account data and content are required to operate the application and sync your tasks across sessions.
• To improve the Services — Anonymised usage analytics help us identify bugs, improve features, and prioritise development.
• To communicate with you — We may send you service-related emails such as account verification, password resets, and important product updates.
• To protect users and the platform — We analyse patterns to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We will never use your data for advertising purposes. We will never sell your personal data to any third party.

You have full control over your data:

• Access — You can view all data associated with your account at any time within the app.
• Correction — You can update your profile information in account settings.
• Deletion — You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Google Calendar disconnect — You can revoke Nivily’s access to your Google Calendar at any time through your Google account permissions.

Nivily will never sell your personal data to a third party.

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — We use trusted third-party services (such as Supabase for database hosting and Google OAuth for authentication) that process data on our behalf. These providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
• Legal obligations — We may disclose your data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from a government authority.
• Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Nivily uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and preferences. Essential cookies are required for the application to function and cannot be disabled.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may prevent certain features of the Services from working correctly.

We take the security of your data seriously:

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data.
• Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being purged.

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your login credentials confidential.

Nivily is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the application.

We will not reduce your privacy rights under this policy without your explicit consent.
